Membership is open to anyone who has held a current full driving licence for at least 3 months. You need a roadworthy car, with MOT certificate if appropriate, a valid insurance and the willingness to learn.

The Group also organises regular social events that many members find enjoyable. Indoor Go-Karts, 10-pin bowling, Treasure Hunts, Union Canal Boat Trip and barbecues have all been organised in the past and have proved very popular. Members use these as an excuse to discuss their progress with others.
These activities are not confined to members. Family and friends are always welcome.
