Livingston IAM Group is one of over 200 groups affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists. We exist to promote road safety through improving the standard of driving in West Lothian.
We do this by providing Associate members with one-to-one driver training by qualified Observers who have already passed the Advanced Driver Test. Additionally, Observers undertake additional training to ensure they can guide Associates towards a successful Advanced Driving Test. All our Observers are volunteers. You do not pay for tuition.
We run 2 courses each year consisting of classroom and driving instruction. These generally last 13 weeks and on completion candidates can expect to be ready for the Advanced Driving Test. These courses are demanding and require additional practice (at least 2 hours a week) to ensure candidates are ready to sit the test.
We also aim to provide our members, families and friends with an interesting and varied calendar of events throughout the year. This includes boat trips, indoor go-karts, Treasure hunts and barbecues.
